Man dies at hospital after shooting at apartment complex in Tempe

A man is dead after being shot at an apartment complex in Tempe early Saturday morning, authorities said.

Officers were called to the area of Center Parkway and Washington Street for reports of gunshots around 2 a.m., according to the Tempe Police Department.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Authorities did not identify the man or provide any information regarding a suspect.

The investigating into the fatal shooting is ongoing.
