A toddler remained in critical condition Monday after being pulled from a Chandler backyard pool by family members last week, authorities said.
Officers and firefighters responded to a drowning call at a home on Morelos Street near Alma School and Pecos roads about 5:45 p.m. Friday, according to the Chandler Police Department.
The first responders began lifesaving measures before rushing the child to a hospital.
A parent and other children were home at the time, police said.
Detectives are working to determine how the child got into the pool.
