Rain moves in north of Phoenix, flash flood warning issued for Cave Creek

A flash flood warning was issued north of the Phoenix metro area on Tuesday night for Cave Creek and Camp Creek as a wall of storms moved north to south.

The warning was issued through 11:15 p.m. MST, according to the National Weather Service.

The storm was expected to decay in severity but bring rain into the Valley.

840 pm: Storms north of Phoenix were sending strong winds into the metro with 20-30 mph gusts over the next hour. Heavy rain north of Cave Creek was also creating potential minor flood issues. There were also showers spotted in parts of the East Valley around 9 p.m.
