59-year-old woman dead after pickup truck driver allegedly runs red light in Gilbert

The Gilbert Police Department identified the woman who died as Pauline Gray.

A 59-year-old woman is dead after the driver of a pickup truck allegedly ran a red light and crashed into her SUV in Gilbert, authorities said.

The Gilbert Police Department identified the woman who died as Pauline Gray.

Officers responded to the area of Cooper and Baseline roads around 10 a.m. on Friday. When police and fire crews arrived, they found Gray unresponsive and trapped inside of her SUV.

Firefighters proceeded to extricate Gray from the car before pronouncing her dead.

Police identified the pickup truck as a 25 year old but did not share their name or age.

Detectives are still reviewing evidence and awaiting forensic test results before deciding on any criminal charges.
