A national rental housing developer began construction on a 330-home apartment community in the Desert Ridge area of north Phoenix.
Mill Creek Residential’s latest housing investment is called Modera City North. It expects its first move-ins in summer 2028, according to a Tuesday press release.
Its apartments range from one to three bedrooms, spanning up to 1,450 square feet. They feature high ceilings with wood plank flooring, stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops and lighting beneath cabinets, the release said.
Units will also include movable kitchen islands, in-home laundry access and private balconies or patios.
Community amenities range from a pool and spa to pet parks and spas and a game room. There is also a fitness complex with cardio machines and space for yoga and Pilates.
Residents who drive electric vehicles will have access to charging stations, while garage parking space is afforded to all renters.
“Modera City North is a unique, well-positioned community that will capture the best of both metropolitan and tranquil living,” Brandon Finnie, Mill Creek vice president of development in Arizona, said. “With its spacious floor plans, refined suite of amenities and proximity to the area’s key employment centers, we believe the community will quickly ascend to a best-in-class option in a neighborhood brimming with increased demand.”
The new development is located at 20711 N. 54th Street, less than 2 miles north of Mayo Clinic Phoenix.
In addition to the Mayo Clinic, nearby employers include Sprouts, Banner Health, Nationwide and Axon.
