A child was rushed to a hospital after a drowning incident in Goodyear on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

A child was rushed to a hospital after a drowning incident in a Goodyear neighborhood on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

The child was suffering from life-threatening injuries, according to the Goodyear Police Department, which described the patient as “young” without providing an age.

Officers responded to the drowning call at a home near Citrus and Broadway roads about 7:30 a.m.

No other details about the incident were immediately available.
