Phoenix eatery ranked No.1 in ‘Top 100 BBQ restaurants in the US’ list by Yelp Elite Squad
Calling all barbecue lovers! Yelp recently released its list of the Top 100 BBQ restaurants in the U.S., and a Phoenix eatery earned itself the top spot.

Calling all barbecue lovers! Yelp recently released its list of the Top 100 BBQ restaurants in the U.S., and a Phoenix eatery earned itself the top spot.
Little Miss BBQ-University, which is located near 40th Street and University Drive, was ranked No. 1 on the list, which was based on the ratings and review volume businesses received from Yelp Elite Squad members.
The barbecue joint had more than 3,000 reviews and an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars. The restaurant is listed on the review platform as serving Central Texas-style barbecue and using Arizona white oak, pecan, pistachio and mesquite wood to smoke its meats.
In addition, the eatery uses smokers that are made out of 1,000-gallon propane tanks that the owners designed themselves.
The restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Little Miss BBQ does have another location in Phoenix that is located near Seventh Street and Dunlap Avenue. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday.
There were other Valley restaurants that cooked their way into the Top 100 list. Here is a list of them and their rankings:

- No. 83: Hapa Food, located at 5235 E. Southern Ave. #107 in Mesa
- No. 88: Bobby Q – Biltmore, located at 3154 E. Camelback Road in Phoenix
