PHOENIX — A man found his mother and her boyfriend dead at a Glendale apartment on Saturday morning in an apparent murder-suicide, according to authorities.

Glendale police responded to the reported shooting at an apartment complex near 75th Avenue and the Loop 101 Agua Fria around 8:30 a.m., according to the Glendale Police Department.

Upon arrival, police found 54-year-old Jason Magaard and 52-year-old Tanya Rickman suffering from gunshot wounds.

After an initial investigation, detectives believe Magaard shot Rickman and then shot himself.
