PHOENIX — Five people, including a child, were transported to a hospital in critical condition on Saturday after a multivehicle accident.
Firefighters responded to the collision near 23rd and Southern Avenues around 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening, according to the Phoenix Fire Department.
The crews found two cars involved in the accident when they arrived. One female needed to be extricated from the vehicle, and she, along with two other females, one male and one male child were transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, authorities said.
The scene is now under investigation by the Phoenix Police Department.
No other information was immediately available.
