Person hospitalized following collision in north Phoenix

A person is in the hospital after a collision in north Phoenix on Monday afternoon, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A person is in the hospital after a collision in north Phoenix on Monday afternoon, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to the area near 35th Avenue and Thunderbird Road for reports of a crash around 3:16 p.m.

One adult was taken by the Phoenix Fire Department to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. Police did not specify the gender or age of the person.

Authorities did not specify how many cars were involved in the collision, but noted that there were additional occupants in the vehicles.

It does not appear that any of those occupants required transport to the hospital.

Detectives responded to investigate the north Phoenix crash.
