A two-vehicle crash in Glendale on Sunday morning left one person dead and two others with serious injuries and forced a street closure, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A two-vehicle crash in Glendale on Sunday morning left one person dead and two others with serious injuries and forced a street closure, authorities said.
Police responded around 7:30 a.m. to the area of 51st and Glendale avenues for reports that an “erratic driver” collided with another car, according to the Glendale Police Department.
A passenger of the hit vehicle was pronounced dead and the driver responsible for running into the vehicle suffered “serious non-life-threatening injuries,” police said. The driver of the hit vehicle also had serious injuries not considered life-threatening.
The road near the crash was shut down in both directions as police began their investigation.
AZFamily reported that the erratic driver was “going in the wrong direction” as Glendale police drove after the vehicle.
No information was shared about what led to the fatal collision in terms of possible impairment or speeding.
