Police provide update in case of body found floating in Tempe Town Lake

PHOENIX – Authorities on Monday released the name of the man found dead in Tempe Town Lake over the weekend.

The Tempe Police Department said no foul play is suspected in the death of 23-year-old Anthony Brown.

A witness reported seeing his body floating in the lake on Saturday morning.

The Tempe Police and Fire departments arrived at the scene to retrieve the body, which had no signs of additional trauma.

It’s still unclear how Brown ended up in the water.

The investigation is ongoing.
