Google launches GFiber internet service in Queen Creek

PHOENIX — Queen Creek recently became the third Valley community with access to GFiber high-speed internet service.
The company announced Wednesday that it had begun serving customers in the East Valley town.
In addition, there is a public celebration for the launch of the internet service being held on Saturday at Frontier Family Park, which is off 220th Street and Queen Creek Road. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and consist of complimentary food and drink trucks as well as games.
Queen Creek residents can sign up online to receive regular service updates.

The Queen Creek Town Council unanimously approved an ordinance in December 2023 allowing GFiber to build its network.
Construction then began on the fiber-to-home network in June 2025, though it was slated to start in August 2024. Google never provided an explanation for the delay.
The town joins Mesa and Chandler as the only three metro Phoenix areas with access to the service. The city of Tempe is expected to join that group after construction began on the GFiber network began there in June 2025.
The internet service’s optic connection is made of glass strands and uses lasers in order to transmit information at rates close to the speed of light, producing a 99.9% reliable connection for fast upload and download speeds across multiple devices.
GFiber offers multiple rate plans for residents to choose from, starting at $70 for one gigabit per second of download and upload speed and going up to $150 for eight gigabits.
