Streamer known as Clavicular arrested at Scottsdale nightclub

PHOENIX – The “looksmaxxing” streamer known as Clavicular was arrested after allegedly entering a Scottsdale nightclub while carrying a fake ID and drugs over the weekend, authorities said.

The Scottsdale Police Department took 20-year-old Braden Peters into custody Saturday night after he was seen entering Casa Amigos near Scottsdale and Camelback Roads in Old Town.

According to court documents, bike patrol officers noticed Peters walking around Old Town around 11 p.m. with a large group and cameras following him. He was seen trying to get into Cake Nightclub before walking away.

He then went around the corner to Casa Amigos and was let in. Knowing Peters was under 21, police asked the nightclub’s staff to remove him.

After he was taken out, Peters showed officers an ID that confirmed he was under 21. He was put into handcuffs and taken into custody around 11:20 p.m.

Staff at the venue told police they went through the liquor department to hire Peters as a promoter, according to the probable cause statement for his arrest. However, the officers contacted Scottsdale PD liquor detectives, who said the claim was not accurate and that Peters was not permitted in the nightclub due to his age.

What did police find when they arrested Clavicular?

During the arrest, police found a fraudulent ID that falsely indicated Peters was over 21 in his wallet and two loose prescription pills in his pocket.

Police identified one pill as Adderall, a stimulant for treating ADHD that contains amphetamines, and the other as Anavar, an anabolic steroid. Peters did not have a prescription for either drug.

Furthermore, officers reviewed Peters’ online accounts and saw video of him attempting to obtain Adderall from patrons in Old Town Scottsdale, according to the probable cause statement.

The streamer was booked into jail on counts of possession of a forged instrument, using a fake ID to enter a liquor establishment and possession of dangerous drugs. The Maricopa County Attorney’s Office will make the official decision on what charges Peters might face.

Peters, who lives in Florida, was released without bail on his own recognizance and ordered to appear at Maricopa County Superior Court hearings on Feb. 23 and Feb. 26.

Looksmaxxing is an online subculture consisting mostly of young men. It is centered around the idea of maximizing physical appearance, sometimes through extreme and potentially dangerous means.

Under the name Clavicular, Peters promotes the trend to nearly 750,000 followers on TikTok, where most of his videos get millions of views. He also has 306,000 followers on Instagram and 170,000 followers on the Kick livestreaming platform.

He reportedly earned $100,000 on Kick in January, according to the probable cause statement.
