Investigation underway after alleged hit-and-run collision in Phoenix leaves man dead

An investigation is under way after an alleged hit-and-run collision on Saturday evening left a man dead, authorities said.

PHOENIX– An investigation is under way after an alleged hit-and-run collision on Saturday evening left a man dead, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a call regarding a pedestrian who had been hit by a vehicle near 23rd and Grand avenues around 6:44 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found 29-year-old Ethan Tso in critical condition. Tso was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the vehicle did not stay at the scene.

Upon investigation, police said the man was lying in a roadway when he was hit by the vehicle. The vehicle, described as dark-colored, was traveling eastbound on Grand Avenue when the collision occurred.

The investigation remains ongoing.
