Shooting in north Phoenix leaves man seriously injured

PHOENIX — An investigation is under way after a shooting in north Phoenix on Saturday evening left a man seriously hurt, authorities said.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, officers responded to a shooting call near 9th Avenue and Hatcher Road around 6:33 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition, police said.

The investigation remains ongoing. No other information was made available.
