Fiesta Bowl Parade to cause street closures in central Phoenix

PHOENIX — If you plan on driving in the central Phoenix area on Saturday, watch out for street restrictions related to the Fiesta Bowl Parade.

According to the Fiesta Bowl, the parade begins at 10:05 a.m. after a flyover and Medieval Times opening act. It will start in front of the North Phoenix Baptist Church and make its way down Central Avenue before turning onto Camelback Road and ending at Seventh Street.

The grand marshal for the 2026 parade is WWE legend Nikki Bella, who is a graduate from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale. In addition to Bella, the parade will consist of Peppa Pig, marching bands from across the United States and other attractions.

The procession is expected to conclude at 11:30 a.m. with a Grand Canyon University closing act.

For those who plan on driving to the event, parking will be on a first-come, first-served basis for the streets that surround the parade route. However, there will be paid parking available at First United Methodist Church, which drivers can access by going eastbound on Missouri Avenue.

Where are the Fiesta Bowl Parade detours?

The following streets are scheduled to be closed from until approximately 2 p.m. Saturday:

• Central Avenue from Rose Lane to Missouri Avenue.
• Central Avenue from Missouri Avenue to Camelback Road.
• Missouri Avenue from Seventh Avenue to Seventh Street.
• Bethany Home Road from Seventh Avenue to Seventh Street.
• Camelback Road from Seventh Avenue to 16th Street.
• Seventh Street from Colter Street to Indian School Road.

According to the City of Phoenix, starting Friday morning traffic on Central Avenue from Bethany Home Road to Missouri Avenue was shifted to the west side of the street with one northbound lane and one southbound lane. The city added that the north- and southbound bike lanes will also be restricted.

There will be restrooms along the Fiesta Bowl Parade route for attendees to use.
