Woman dead following 2-vehicle collision at West Valley intersection
A woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in the West Valley on Friday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — A woman is dead after a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in the West Valley on Friday, authorities said.
The Surprise Police Department identified the deceased woman as 65-year-old Janice Livesay.
Details on deadly crash at West Valley intersection
Police said officers responded to a crash at the intersection of Waddell Road and Sarival Avenue around 10:29 a.m.
Preliminary information reportedly indicates that one of the vehicles was traveling westbound on Waddell Road and trying to make a turn left onto Sarival Avenue. Meanwhile, the second vehicle was traveling eastbound on Waddell Road when it collided with the first vehicle, which was making a left turn.
The drivers of both cars were taken to a hospital where Livesay died from her injuries.
Police said that speed is a possibly a factor in the fatal crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
