Body pulled from Salt River near Mesa

The body of a man was pulled from the Salt River near Mesa on Thursday, authorities said.

PHOENIX — The body of a man was pulled from the Salt River near Mesa on Thursday, authorities said.

The deceased male was discovered in the river bottom near Alma School Road and State Route Loop 202, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

MCSO said that deputies did not observe any signs of foul play.

The body is set to be transported to the medical examiner so a cause of death can be determined.

No other information was provided.

This comes a week after the body of another man was pulled from a community lake in Glendale.
