Phoenix Police ID person of interest in fatal shooting that left 2 dead

Authorities on Monday released the name of a person of interest in their investigation of a fatal Phoenix shooting that left two men dead last week.

PHOENIX — Authorities on Monday released the name of a person of interest in their investigation of a fatal Phoenix shooting that left two men dead last week.

Investigators with the Phoenix Police Department hope to contact 34-year-old Emmanuel “Manny” Rojas.

They hope to interview him about his involvement in a shooting that took place last Thursday in the area of 67th Avenue and Indian School Road around 3 p.m.

Who were the two victims in fatal Phoenix shooting?

Police who responded to the area found 36-year-old Mario Martinez and 33-year-old Luis Mendez-Armenta suffering from gunshot wounds.

Martinez was pronounce dead at the scene while Mendez-Armenta died after being brought to a hospital for treatment.

Police urge those who see Rojas not to approach him but to contact Silent Witness at 480-948-6377 (WITNESS) or 480-837-8446 (TESTIGO) for Spanish speakers.

Callers may remain anonymous and are eligible for a maximum $2,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
