8-year-old girl dies from injuries sustained in crash that closed Loop 202 in Chandler for hours
A child died from injuries sustained in a crash that closed a portion of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway in Chandler for several hours on Thursday.

PHOENIX – A child died after being injured in a crash that closed a portion of the Loop 202 Santan Freeway in Chandler for several hours on Thursday, authorities said.
At least two people had to be extricated from the four-vehicle crash, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS).
One of them was an 8-year-old girl who died while receiving treatment for her injuries at a hospital, DPS said.
Eastbound Loop 202 was shut down due to a collision at Kyrene Road from approximately 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., according to DPS.
