1 man dead after stabbing in downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man is dead after he was stabbed during a fight in downtown Phoenix on Friday night.

Lance Manygoats, 40, was fatally stabbed near 15th and Roosevelt streets, according to the Phoenix Police Department.

Just before 6 p.m., officers responded to call about a fight. When officers arrived, they found Manygoats suffering from an apparent stab wound.

Manygoats was taken to a nearby hospital but later died from his injuries, according to police.

Officers learned about another man who was involved in a fight with Manygoats.

The man was taken into police custody without incident after providing a statement, according to police. He was later released from custody.
