54-year-old man dead after shooting in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man is dead after a fatal Phoenix shooting that took place on Thursday night, authorities said.

Officers with the Phoenix Police Department found 54-year-old Brad Neel injured in the area of 51st Avenue and Latham Street around 9:30 p.m., police said.

He was brought to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Detectives looking for lead in fatal Phoenix shooting

Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and are looking for leads.

Anyone with information about the shooting that left Neel dead is urged to call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS (948-6377) or 480-TESTIGO (837-8446) for Spanish.

Police said rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in the homicide case.
