Valley lottery player hits $2.9 million jackpot in weekend drawing

A ticket for The Pick from the a Scottsdale matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing to score the top the prize.

PHOENIX – A Valley lottery player hit a $2.9 million jackpot over the weekend.

A ticket for The Pick from the Safeway at Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard and Thompson Peak Parkway matched all six numbers in Saturday’s drawing to score the top the prize.

The winning digits were 22, 26, 31, 34, 35 and 36. It was the game’s first jackpot since Feb. 3, when the payout was $1 million.

The Pick is an Arizona Lottery game with drawings held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Entries cost $1 and can be purchased at over 3,000 retailers across the state.

The top prize will be $1 million for the next drawing on Monday.

The odds of winning the game’s jackpot are about 1 in 7 million.
