PHOENIX — A new park coming to the city of Chandler this spring finally has its name.

Orangetree Park is the name Chandler residents came to a consensus on after a public survey was held from Jan. 9 to 29.

The other names up for consideration were Colt Meadow Park, Acacia Park, El Alba Park, Naranjo Park, Lidman Park, Grizzly Bear Park, Dobby Park and Honeysuckle Park.

The name for Orangetree Park came from a neighborhood in the area. The new park will be Chandler’s 70th park.
