Woman hospitalized with burns after getting pulled from Phoenix house fire

PHOENIX – A woman was hospitalized with multiple burns after she was rescued from a west Phoenix house fire on Monday night, authorities said.

Crews responded to a home near 83rd Avenue and Osborn Road around 7:45 p.m., according to the Phoenix Fire Department.

“When firefighters arrived on scene, they quickly extended hose lines into the home for search and rescue. Crews were able to locate the victim and safely remove her from the burning home,” Capt. Rob McDade said in a media advisory.

The patient, who was rushed to a local burn center, is expected to survive her injuries. Nobody else was hurt during the incident.

Crews eventually extinguished the fire. Investigators are working to determine the cause.
