PHOENIX — A man suspected of a series of gym locker burglaries across two Mesa locations and using stolen credit cards was arrested on Oct. 28, the Mesa Police Department announced.

Gregory Freeman, 39, was arrested by officers in Tempe and booked on six counts of third-degree burglary, 11 counts of credit card theft and eight counts of fraudulent use of a credit card.

Officers investigated the burglaries at two EoS Fitness gyms from Sept. 28 until Freeman’s arrest, according to a press release.

Investigators used video surveillance from businesses where the suspect allegedly used a stolen credit card and compared it to video surveillance provided by the EoS locations to find a link.

Freeman used stolen credit cards at businesses in Tempe and Mesa, according to the release.

The suspect was allegedly an EoS Fitness member, and one victim identified Freeman to police after encountering him in the locker room before his locker was burglarized.

Third-degree burglary is a class 4 felony and credit card theft is a class 5 felony.
