ASU receives report of sexual assault in residential hall on Tempe campus

PHOENIX — Arizona State University Police on Thursday received a report of a sexual assault that took place on Saturday, the school announced in a press release.

The incident occurred in a residential hall on the Tempe campus, police said.

The suspect and victim were known to each other, but the suspect engaged in sexual actions despite the victim’s objections, police said.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male that is 19-21 years old.

An arrest has not been made as the investigation is ongoing.
