Food City, Arizona’s Children Association holding job fairs in Valley

PHOENIX — Get your resume ready.

Not one, but two job fairs are taking place in Phoenix this week, as both Food City and Arizona’s Children Association are looking to add to their ranks.

After undergoing major repairs following a fire back in September that left the store temporarily closed, the Food City located at 35th Avenue and Van Buren Street is looking for more than 100 new hires spanning over 14 different positions.

The job fair takes place at the Victory Outreach Church in Phoenix from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Open positions range from hourly clerks, bakers and meat cutters to store managers.

Prospective applicants will meet with Food City’s hiring team for interviews and to complete paperwork and could be hired on the spot depending on qualifications.

In addition to Food City, Arizona’s Children Association is holding a job fair Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the association’s Central Phoenix office.

The group has more than 40 open positions around the Valley, with 18 different jobs ranging from parent aide to chief medical officer.

Applicants are encouraged to bring their resumes and credentials for potential on-site interviews.
