MCSO: 2 injured after car crashes into Fountain Hills home

PHOENIX — Two people were injured on Sunday morning after the vehicle they were in plowed into a Fountain Hills home, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident occurred around 10:40 a.m. near Shea and Palisades boulevards.

According to authorities, the vehicle hit the back of another car, lost control and crashed into the residence’s garage.

A man and woman that were inside the vehicle were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, MCSO said.

Detectives are currently investigating if impairment or speed was a factor in the accident.

According to Rural Metro Fire, early reports indicate that the car may have been attempting to evade police.

No other injuries were suffered due to the crash, according to authorities.
