PHOENIX — A pair of Loop 101 Pima Freeway ramps will be closed for approximately six months starting Monday as part of an ongoing freeway widening project, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The eastbound Loop 101 off-ramp and westbound on-ramp at Seventh Street in north Phoenix will close at 9 p.m. on Monday. The closure is expected to end in March.
The ramp closures will allow construction crews to finish widening the ramp and freeway bridges over Cave Creek Wash.

The completion of that will accommodate the extra lane that is being added to the Loop 101 in each direction.
The closure is part of ADOT’s $185 million project to widen 13 miles of the Loop 101 between Interstate 17 and Pima Road.
The project started in February and is scheduled for completion in early 2021, according to ADOT.
