Authorities cancel Silver Alert for missing Gilbert woman

PHOENIX — The Gilbert Police Department canceled a Silver Alert for Helen Edgar, who had not been seen since leaving her home on the 500 block of E Mesquite Avenue at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, Edgar was located safe and in good health.

The 5-foot-3, 145 lbs woman was on her way to play bingo, as she does daily, but hadn’t arrived to play in three days.

She has began displaying signs of dementia and was contacted by the Scottsdale Police department and Gilbert Police Department recently for being disoriented.
