PHOENIX — The triple digit temps might not conjure ideas of holiday lights, but for crews at the Phoenix Zoo, they’re hard at work getting the Zoo in the spirit.

ZooLights is still four months away, but crews have begun to implement the light installations, according to a press release.

The event features millions of lights and hundreds of displays.

According to the Phoenix Zoo, it takes a five-man crew approximately 14 weeks of around the clock work to install the show.

Each year, the event sees an average of 300,000 visitors. The event is the zoo’s largest multi-day fundraiser of the year.

ZooLights opens Nov. 27 this year and runs through Jan. 12. The event is open from 5:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. nightly.
