White House site shows where taxes go

PHOENIX — Very few people enjoy tax season, especially those who owe money.

But the White House, carrying through on a 2011 promise, has a site that may make some of us feel a little better.

The site allows users to check where there tax dollars are going by entering a few simple numbers.

The site details the percentages that goes to each agency and shows a dollar-by-dollar breakdown of where each penny handed over by taxpayers is going.
