3-year-old restaurant earns best in Phoenix hat tip from TripAdvisor

PHOENIX — A 112-seat restaurant wins big: Rusconi’s American Kitchen was chosen the No. 1 restaurant in Phoenix by TripAdvisor.
The Phoenix eatery, located on Shea and Tatum boulevards, took the top spot out of 2,471 Phoenix restaurants.
Rusconi’s offers “a hearty menu of regional American cuisine featuring a wood burning grill with an abundance of affordable items,” according to its website.
The restaurant’s chef and owner, Michael Rusconi, told the Phoenix Business Journal the rise in reviews has increased the number of toursists visiting the restaurant.
“TripAdvisor’s reviewers are educated diners and what’s happening is that we’re getting a lot of out of town visitors who are bringing their local friends,” he said.
Rounding out the local top five spots were Pomo Pizzeria Napolentana, The Capital Grille, Bobby Q and Fuego Bistro.
