Fashion designer, QVC host engage in bizarre moon debate

Things got heated on the QVC network!

How often do you get to say that?

During a program with fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi last week, QVC host Shawn Killinger and Mizrahi got sidetracked from describing a cardigan and started debating with each other.

And what was the topic?

The moon.

The conversation started when Killinger described a green cardigan as having a pattern “like what the Earth looks like when you’re a bazillion miles away from the planet [sic] moon.”

Mizrahi agreed with description of the piece of clothing, but then they were torn about whether the moon is a planet or a star.

“What is it, a baseball or something? What is it, cheese?” Mizrahi asks, bewildered.

A producer finally corrects the duo and tells them the moon is a natural satellite.

“Is that what Google said? No, I don’t like that at all. I don’t even know what that means,” Killinger replied.

Don’t quit your day jobs, folks.

The train wreck of a conversation went on for nearly two minutes on live television, and it starts at the 7:15 mark of the video above.
