These two have certainly found a much better use for Legos than I ever did.
While the Lego castle I built was pretty sweet, it didn’t run on air and definitely couldn’t hold a person (I tried).
Australian entrepreneur Steve Sammartino and Romanian teenage wunderkind Raul Oaida met on the Internet a ways back. The two put their heads together and decided to design a Lego car that runs on air.
Nearly everything on the car (engine included) is made of the blocks. More than 500,000 pieces were used. The car can travel at a top speed of 20 to 30 kmh, but the designers have yet to push it. They’re too scared of a Lego-splosion.
The car is being stored at a secret location in Melbourne.
