US 60, Loop 101 in the East Valley to have closures over the weekend
A large portion of the U.S. 60 in the East Valley and a southern section of Loop 101 are part of the Phoenix-area traffic closures this weekend.

PHOENIX — Closures on a large portion of U.S. 60 in the East Valley are among this weekend’s Phoenix-area freeway restrictions.
Eastbound U.S. 60 between Val Vista Drive and Tomahawk Road will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday to noon Saturday for pavement improvements, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
That same portion of the freeway heading westbound will be closed from 10 p.m. Saturday until noon Sunday.
ADOT says crews will reopen sections of the freeway as work progresses.
Staying in the East Valley, southbound Loop 101 between Warner Road and Loop 202 will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday to set up a work zone to widen the freeway.
In Tempe, the westbound Interstate 10 ramp to eastbound U.S. 60 will be closed from 11 p.m. Sunday to 3 a.m. Monday.

Moving west, no traffic will be allowed on or off I-10 at the 75th Avenue interchange, and 75th will be closed in both directions for traffic signal improvements.
At the U.S. 60 and R.H. Johnson/Sunrise Boulevards intersection, there will be alternating lane restrictions from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 p.m. Saturday.
Westbound I-10 near 59th Avenue will be narrowed to one lane from 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday.
