PHOENIX — If you live in Paradise Valley, there’s a pretty good chance you’re happy with your home.
According to Money.com, the Phoenix-area suburb was recently ranked among the best places to live in America and the best place to live in Arizona.
On the publication’s list of top 100 places to live in the nation, Paradise Valley came in at No. 89, beating out the likes of South Portland, Maine; Cedar Mill, Oregon and Salem, New Hampshire.
It was also the only Arizona city to make the list.
The city made the list in part due to its fantastic weather — 296 clear days per year, to be exact — median household income of $138,192 and short average commute time of 20 minutes.
The publication also ranked it as the best place to live in Arizona because it is a small town that is “tucked amid scenic mountains” and “serves as a bridge between the bustling hubs of Phoenix and Scottsdale.”
“It is the wealthiest place to live in Arizona (according to the Phoenix Business Journal), as well as one of the state’s premier tourist destinations, thanks in large part to its many luxury resorts and proximity to top-rate amenities.”
However, Paradise Valley still fell well behind the best city in the nation to live: Fishers, Indiana, which was touted as a “booming city with good schools, low cost of living and an entrepreneurial buzz.”
