PHOENIX — Alaska Airlines will begin offering nonstop daily flights in the fall to Phoenix and seven other cities in the west from Everett, Washington, the carrier announced Tuesday.
The Seattle-based airline said the flights from nearby Everett’s Paine Field would also go to Las Vegas, Nevada; Portland, Oregon; and California airports in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, San Francisco and San Jose.
The frequency of flights to those destinations will be announced later this year.
Everett is about 25 miles north of Seattle.
The airline had said in May it was expanding service from Everett but had kept quiet about where the new routes would go.
The Everett area has a population of about 110,000 but officials with the airline said they hoped to draw about a million customers a year who would normally use Seattle-Tacoma Airport.
