Body of Silver Alert subject found in desert area south of his Queen Creek home

Search crews located the body of a missing Queen Creek man in a desert area south of his property.

PHOENIX – Search crews located the body of a missing Queen Creek man on Tuesday, authorities said.

Terrence Flickinger, 73, was found dead in a desert area south of his property, according to the Queen Creek Police Department.

Police said there were no signs of foul play.

Flickinger was the subject of a Silver Alert that was issued after he was reported missing on July 4. He had last been seen the night of July 1 in the area of Sossaman Road and Sundance Drive, south of Hunt Highway.

Authorities conducted search operations throughout the weekend.

A joint search with Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue and specialized K-9 units located his body a week after he was last seen.

The investigation is ongoing. No other details were made available.
