Uber, pedicabs restricted at Waste Management Phoenix Open

PHOENIX — Both Uber and pedicab services will only have limited access to the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Scottsdale police said Tuesday.

Uber drivers will only be able to drop fares at parking lot No. 7, on the corner of Princess Drive and 82nd Street, across from the Bird’s Nest. Pickups will only be allowed to wait for rides for a few minutes.

Pedicab restrictions are a little more detailed. The bike-taxis will be not be allowed to operate on sidewalks, bike lanes or traffic lanes in the following areas:

• Hayden Road between the Loop 101 and Frank Lloyd Wright Boulevard

• 82nd Street between Mayo Boulevard and Bell Road

• Bell Road between Hayden Road and Perimeter Drive

• Princess Drive between Hayden Road and Pacesetter Way

• Mayo Boulevard between Hayden Road and Perimeter Drive

Pedicabs are also not allowed in any tournament parking lot.
