Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego focused on the city's advances in the tech sector in her economy-focused 2026 state of the city speech. She touted investments into bioscience research and international partnerships with semiconductor and AI companies all boosting the Phoenix economy and helping create new jobs. The mayor also indicated Phoenix is becoming a more global community through developing new industries, something she and other city leaders are committed to as she teased a quantum tech initiative as well.
