U.S. Ambassador Caroline Kennedy dresses as Santa in holiday video

The life of a United States ambassador might not be as luxurious as it sounds. Sure, there’s traveling, meeting new and interesting people, taking in the sights and maybe even picking up a new language or two.

But the stress level could be grueling, being in charge of international relations with a foreign government, knowing that one wrong move might set off a devastating chain of reactions.

Then there’s Caroline Kennedy, U.S. ambassador to Japan, daughter of late-President John F. Kennedy. While we can imagine she takes her job quite seriously, a recent video shows that she’s also quite serious about the holidays.

Kennedy posted a video on her Instagram account showing the ambassador dressed as Santa Claus, exclaiming, “Santa’s in the house”. With “Must Be Santa” playing in the background, Kennedy makes her way down the chimney into the embassy.

Not to out-do that video, however, the ambassador revealed another that included multiple American diplomats dancing to the popular Japanese “Koi Dance”.

As the end of the Obama administration approaches, it seems Kennedy and the diplomats are beginning to unwind after long years of enforcing foreign policy.
