‘This Old House’ seeking new renovation stars in Arizona

PHOENIX — Arizona homeowners planning a home restoration or renovation need apply: “This Old House” is looking for homes to feature on the popular show.

The show, which airs on the Public Broadcasting Service, is accepting interested applicants through Dec. 31. Interested do-it-yourselfers can apply online, but there are some requirements: the project needs to be ready to break ground by spring and wrap up by November. They will also be required to describe the project and themselves, submit any existing project plans, budgets and timelines and some photos of the home.

“We would love to see the crew from ‘This Old House’ use their passion and quality craftsmanship to revitalize an Arizona home,” Arizona PBS General Manager Kelly McCullough said in a release.

Those chosen will be featured on multiple episodes during the show’s 2016-17 run.

Though the show will help with the project, it does not pay for it, meaning homeowners foot the bill. However, the show said it will use its pull to get discounts and donations when it can.
