Sinema portrayed on ‘SNL’ women of Congress sketch
Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and other women in the U.S. Congress were the focus of a "Saturday Night Live" skit on, well, Saturday night.
PHOENIX — Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-Ariz.) and other women in the U.S. Congress were hit with a “Saturday Night Live” parody, well, on Saturday night.

Sinema was portrayed by cast member Cecily Strong as the act featured most of the women on SNL dressed in white, as the real-life congressional counterparts were during the State of the Union address on Tuesday.
Each congresswoman in the sketch introduced themselves with background music and graphics, which seemingly drew inspiration from movies like Kill Bill, Undercover Brother, Starsky and Hutch and even Shaft.
“I used to be in the House, but now I’m in the Senate. I’m bicameral, bipartisan and bi. Deal with it,” Strong said as Sinema in the sketch.
Sinema was labeled the “Kooky Arizona Lady” in the sketch.
In her first appearance in the video, Strong fires what looks to be some sort of blow dart at a criminal dressed in all black.
Other congresswomen portrayed in the video included Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), Annie Kuster (D-N.H.), Abigail Spanberger (D-Vir.) and Rashida Tlaib (D- Mich.)
It was a busy week outside of the office for Sinema who also finished the Phoenix Half Marathon on Friday in a blistering personal record time of 1:39:37.
