Report: Parents upset over invasive game played at school

Parents at a Wisconsin middle school are reportedly steamed about a game orchestrated by teachers that required students to reveal personal information.

According to Fox 11, students were asked to play a game called “Cross the Line” that, well, crossed the line.

Parents say their children were asked personal questions like, do your parents drink and has anyone in your family been in jail?

Students were also asked to step forward if they answered yes to any of the questions.

One student, Sarah Maitland, claimed a teacher asked if anyone had considered suicide.

While officials claimed students were not forced to participate, students said they faced an in-school suspension if they declined. Parents were not informed of the game ahead of time.

The school said the game was meant to foster deeper relationships between students. The bonds are supposed to decrease bullying.
