The story itself is fairly interesting, but the movie is slow. At times, it felt like the film was more of a showcase for Smith (who admittedly is really good) rather than a focus on what basically amounted to a cover up by the NFL.
At the end of the movie, it feels like things are just getting good when the credits begin to roll, so I was left a little disappointed by this one.

But, overall, I thought “Concussion” was a good-but-slow movie highlighted by an interesting story and solid performances.

I replied to your last comment, but for some reason... unbeknownst to me, it is currently pending for approval. I have checked for any "buzz" words that might have alerted the moderator and found none.

Just wait til' this pathetic individual realizes that perhaps a case of CTE was the underlying and determining factor for his criminal activities.
...and the MOST obvious point which you conveniently overlooked: "These guys WILLINGLY sacrifice health and limb..."
(even more so now...with the huge attention and vast knowledge about CTE that has surfaced)
I would also liken this to the soldier that voluntarily chooses to serve their country--attracted by a chance of furthering their education, a stable job, housing, etc.--only to realize that war has broken out and now he/she has to go and fight abroad.
