Movies in a Minute: ‘Burnt’

Do you know how, when you’re making a new dish, you can often spot similarities to other recipes? Like you’re making a familiar dish over again?

That is the perfect way to describe Bradley Cooper’s new film, “Burnt.”

Cooper plays a young celebrity chef who made it big in Paris and is now struggling to hold on to his dwindling fame. “Burnt” focuses on his attempt to rise back to prominence.

Let me put it this way: It’s “Top Gun” without the planes, “Days of Thunder” without the cars. You’ve seen this movie before. You know what will happen in the end.

I will say the Cooper does a pretty decent job, but this movie really lacked a lot of spice.
