Faith in Humanity: WWII Vet reads long-lost love letter
A WWII veteran had a love letter returned to him after 70 years.
Seventy years ago, Bill Moore wrote a letter to a young woman named Bernadean that he met while on furlough during World War II.
Decades later, the letter was found on the sleeve of a record purchased by a stranger in a thrift shop.
Moore recently read the letter aloud after it was returned to him:

“I loved her … she loved me and that’s all I can tell you is the heartache of not being with her all the time,” he said.
